Linked internally but not in sitemap
These URLs receive internal links but are missing from your sitemap — often forgotten pages that should be added, or old URLs that should redirect.
What the internal link analyzer does
It expands your sitemap into a page list (up to 500 URLs), fetches every page, and extracts each
internal <a href> to build the complete link graph of your
site — every page as a node, every internal link as an edge. From that graph it computes the
three structural metrics that decide how well your pages rank: inbound link counts, click depth
from the homepage, and internal PageRank. It then flags orphan pages, buried pages, broken and
redirected sitemap URLs, noindexed pages that still receive links, and pages whose canonical
points elsewhere — sorted into a prioritized fix list so the highest-impact repair is always at
the top. Everything is analyzed in your browser and exportable as CSV or a plain-text report.
Why internal linking matters
Backlinks decide how much authority flows into your site; internal links decide where it flows within it. A page with strong content but weak internal links is invisible twice over: crawlers discover it late (or never), and whatever authority your domain has never reaches it. Unlike backlinks, internal links are entirely under your control — which makes the link graph one of the cheapest, fastest SEO levers you have. The usual failure modes are structural, not editorial: a template change silently drops a nav link, a migration leaves a cluster of pages stranded, or new content piles up five clicks deep where nothing meaningful links to it.
What is an orphan page?
An orphan page is listed in your sitemap but has zero internal links pointing to it. Search engines may still find it through the sitemap, but with no inbound links it receives almost no internal authority and tends to rank poorly or drop out of the index. The fix is simple: link to it from related pages, category hubs, or navigation.
What is internal PageRank?
It's the classic PageRank algorithm run on your own site only: pages that receive links from many well-linked pages score high; pages nobody links to score near zero. The score here is normalized to 0–100 (your strongest page = 100). It shows where your site currently concentrates authority — and whether that matches the pages you actually want to rank. If a money page scores lower than a forgotten tag archive, your linking priorities are inverted.
What is click depth?
Click depth is the minimum number of clicks needed to reach a page from your homepage by following internal links. Pages at depth 1–3 are crawled often and rank best; pages at depth 4+ are "buried" — crawled less, refreshed less, weighted less. Pages unreachable by clicking at all are effectively orphaned even if something technically links to them. Flattening your structure with hub pages and contextual links is usually worth more than any single on-page tweak.
